The winding path of my professional life has always been guided by an inner compass pointing toward this elusive concept called healing.
I first discovered this within myself as a child, when music and writing offered me a way to express what I couldn’t yet name. Through art, I learned that creation can be medicine—for the self and for the collective. To make art is to reveal your most authentic self and risk being truly seen. To be touched by another’s art is to connect across space and time, encountering some small shred of evidence that contradicts our deep and fundamental aloneness. And to experience art with others is to heal within community, a rising tide that lifts us all.
When I entered graduate school for clinical psychology, I imagined I would find others who saw healing this way. Instead, I discovered that even within the field, depth seekers were rare. Creativity had been stripped from the pursuit of healing, and the centrality of relationality and community had been replaced by individualistic, capitalistic, prescribed notions of what it means to be "healthy".
I’ve tread outside the lines through out my career in academia and private practice —centering my scholarship, teaching, and clinical work around creating space and understanding for those who need it most. The queers. The artists. The dreamers. The ones who don’t quite fit. The ones like me. I’ve found spaces approximating home in the worlds of sex therapy and psychedelic medicine. But none of it has been the truth north my compass has always sought.
Now, I’m here to follow that compass fully—to take these intuitive notions and build the space my soul has always sought. Co-Create is this space.
A space of blurred lines, where the false boundaries between sick and well, teacher and student, artist and observer begin to dissolve.
A space that rejects the pathologizing, commodified, one-size-fits-all versions of “wellness” and reclaims healing as a creative act of self-expression, rooted in connection and community.
A space where historically marginalized identities are not just included, but celebrated as sacred sources of wisdom, beauty, and innovation.
CoCreate is a home for the depth-seekers.
Welcome.
